Santa Fund/Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program

Thank you to all who have responded generously to our 2016 Holiday Program — all of our children have been “adopted!” This year, we received requests for assistance for 850 children in need in our community. If you did not adopt a child or a family, there are still important ways to get involved.

How You Can Help During the Holidays

  • Buy toys and household items from our Target Wish List. This will help us fill in the gaps for children who do not receive their wish list items and/or for any last minute requests. We also have an ongoing need for household necessities for Moms in our Transitional Housing Program. Have the items shipped to your address and then kindly drop them off at our 7 Concord Street, Nashua location by December 18, 2016.
  • Give a monetary donation so that we can purchase gift cards for teens and for Moms in our programs.
  • We need muscle power to help accept and distribute gifts!  Please consider signing up to help unload large trucks of holiday gifts donated by our Platinum Partner, BAE.  There are several options available. Sign up online with a day and shift that works for you.

TelegraphSantaFundThank you to all of those in the community who gave so generously to our Holiday Program in 2015. With your help, we were able to provide toys and warm clothing to 981 children in need. Special thanks to BAE, Right Network, Church of the Good Shepherd and many other individuals, organizations and businesses for your generosity!

Since our inception, we have offered a program to help ensure smiles to the children of our community on Christmas morning. Santa lives in each and every one of us, and through this program the true meaning of the Christmas spirit becomes apparent.

In 1994, the Front Door Agency joined with the Telegraph to ensure the Santa Fund resources are allocated to those most in need. Through this partnership, we have provided gifts, food, toys and clothing to nearly 1,100 children each and every year.

Local businesses, civic groups, individuals and religious organizations all participate in adopting children for the holidays. It is estimated that through the generosity of the community we pass through over $100,000 in in-kind contributions.

Registrations for assistance are held yearly in late October and early November.
