August Fun During COVID-19
Free and low-cost activities to keep the kids busy this month!Social distancing has made this summer look and feel different for everyone, especially families with children. With many summer camps canceled and public pools in Greater Nashua closed, parents are scrambling to keep their children occupied. This is especially challenging if parents are working from home.
The single mothers in our Transformational Housing program are facing similar challenges. Some of the mothers in the program have continued to work throughout the pandemic and found daycares that remained open under emergency licenses. But the moms that are working from home or on school break are searching for low-cost or free ways to keep their children busy.
Here’s a list of low cost or free local camps and activities happening in Greater Nashua this month. Keep in mind that many programs offer scholarships, grants or other discounted payment options. In fact, 93% of ACA-accredited camps offer some form of financial assistance to more than one million children who need it.
Do you have activities to add? Let us know! Email info@frontdooragency.org with your ideas and, if they’re a good fit, we’ll add them to the list.
