2024 Annual Appeal

Together we helped more than 1,800 individuals in Greater Nashua this year!

Your gift to the Front Door Agency allows us to provide vital services to local individuals and families in crisis. Through our Transformational Housing, Housing Stability, Affordable Housing, and Holiday Programs, we are able to assist members of the Greater Nashua community who were in need or facing homelessness stabilize their lives, providing them with the tools needed to become empowered and reach independence.

Because of your generosity, here are some of the things we were able to do this past year:

  • 83% of families who received homelessness services remained in their own homes for at least 6-months and are working toward self-sufficiency.
  • 59% were 150% below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
  • 71% of the single mothers in our Transformational Housing Program participated in or graduated from an educational or job training program.
  • Over 500 local children in need received toys, warm clothing, and food through our 2023 Holiday Program.

Can we count on your support to help more individuals and families in 2025?

Meet Iris, Anthony, and Rosalia

“In August of 2021, with one child in tow and another on the way, I made the decision to leave my marriage due to ongoing conflicts and domestic violence. After living with my parents briefly, I was able to connect with Bridges Domestic Violence where an advocate helped me navigate through my divorce while taking care of my children and connect me with the Front Door Agency.

Facing homelessness, I was grateful to find a home in Phase II of the Front Door Agency’s Transformational Housing Program. The Front Door and their staff became a lifeline for me and my kids during our hardest moments.

The Front Door Agency has been a blessing, providing not just affordable housing, but assistance in finding childcare, covering counseling expenses, offering case management and encouragement, and ensuring my children received gifts through the Holiday Program to make the holidays brighter. Through the Women’s Money Matters program, I gained important financial literacy skills, allowing me to take charge of my financial future.

Because of the help I received from the Front Door, I am stronger and more self-reliant. In my efforts to push toward a brighter future and with the help of my case manager, I attended a Habitat for Humanity homeownership information session in January 2022. After completing the application process, using community services like the local food pantry to save money, and contributing 350 hours of sweat equity, I am excited my children and I will move into our forever home this fall.

Currently, I am working on completing my master’s degree in early childhood education at Cambridge College. Throughout this journey, I have been guided by role models who have shown me resilience and hope. I am thankful for the assistance from the Front Door Agency. My goal is to be a strong, independent mom for my two children, and with the guidance I’ve received, I know I’m on the right path. I hope we can count on your support this year.”
